Microsoft Advertising’s UET tag supports measurement of website activity and configured conversion goals. Missing conversion data can result from a broken tag, an event-rule mismatch, consent behavior, processing delay, or an inaccurate comparison.

Confirm tag deployment and page coverage
Check that the tag is present on intended pages and that it loads once in the expected browser conditions. Test redirects, single-page navigation, and pages served from alternate subdomains.
Use the platform’s diagnostics and browser developer tools to identify whether requests are blocked, malformed, or absent. Do not rely only on a tag status indicator.
Validate conversion conditions
Compare the goal definition with the actual form or event behavior. A URL-based goal may miss a single-page application route, while an event rule may fire more than once.
Test consent states and ensure that measurement behavior follows the site’s approved preferences. Verify that one action is not imported again from another source without deduplication.
Allow for processing and attribution timing
Record the conversion event time, import time, account time zone, and reporting window. Platform processing can lag behind a form submission or CRM update.
Compare like outcomes across systems. A CRM lead, a UET event, and a platform-attributed conversion can be valid but not identical counts.
Maintain a test record
Save the test case, expected event, observed result, and correction. Re-run key checks after tag-manager, site, or form releases.
